I love how Samhain just seems to exude that feeling of beginning and finality. The end of warm days, the end of rushing, yet the beginning of sleep, the beginning of festive seasons. Of course, Samhain would be nothing without the little kiddies dressing up in their witchy finery! : )
I’d love to get a free book! Thank you!

This is very exciting. I love Samhain. My favorite thing about it, is that it is a time of mystery and magic. The veil between the worlds is thin, and I love my ritual of doing a tarot reading for the coming year. 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity!

Feeling close to those who have passed and remembering how thin the veil really is. A reminder that Life and Death are different sides of the same coin.

It’s hard to pick just one thing this is such an amazing time of the wheel. But in just picking one I’ll have to say Ancestral work as the vail is thin its amazing work,

I love the tangible changes: you can literally see the world dying a little bit, and it puts you more in touch with that change. I find I’m able to connect better with the spirits because I’m in more of that mindset for change. I love the ending of the year, and the chance to rebuild, working with nature.
Hope to get a book!

Samhain is a very special time of the year. The halloween-part can be fun, but my favourite aspect of Samhain is the thinning of the veils between the worlds, honouring our ancestors and feeling close to those that have left our world…

I love this one day of the year where we look at so many conflicting ideas. Death, birth, family, ancestors, friends, parties, reflection, cemeteries, trick-or-treating, laughing, crying. All these things go with Samhain/Halloween.

I have been connected to Samhain since before I knew what it was. As a child, I couldnt wait for Halloween. The weather, the costumes, the candy, pumpkins, the feel in the air. As an adult I have learned what all that I was drawn to means, but still love the wonder and magic of Halloween.
Living in so Cal it is bright and hot, almost all year long. It os often superficial and one feels disconnected to the mystical. Samhain makes a change in weather and the energy in the air cant be ignored. It calls to me and reminds me of the things I tend to lose track of in a busy life. It grounds me and reconnects me to the little kid who didnt know why he felt what he felt on Halloween.

With the blustery days and the cool nights Samhain is my favourite time of year. The air seems to get and extra burst of energy that runs threw me. Seems to me that everything is having one last party before it is time to sleep.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my feelings and to try to win the book.

My favorite thing about Samhain is the chance to go really deep into the mysteries. It marks the transition into the dark part of the year, when I’m drawn to introspection, dreaming, and the beginning of change on many levels. Samhain is an invitation to turn inward on the spiral once more, and to uncover new things about myself and the multiverse.

My favorite thing about Samhain is that fresh crisp feeling in the air. That feeling that I’m about to get a new start on life. My hubby and I had our handfasting on Samhain so it’s always a very very special time of the year for me. It is my favorite season.

Put simply, the change. It’s the end of one cycle, the beginning of the next and because of this, you can actually FEEL the change around you. You also beging to see it in the foliage around you.

Samhain is the most powerful time in my year, clearing away the old.. and sowing the seeds of my intent for the next year.. working with the Ancestors, and for the last two years, Officiating for Handfastings for two wonderful couples. Magical all round.

I love the feeling of being surrounded by my ancestors, and the occasional contact one of them may choose to make. I like the apples, cider, fresh squash of all kinds, and the beauty of the leaves. I love how people start to draw back into their homes, battening down the hatches for the winter season coming much too soon. I also love the fun of Halloween. Cute kids wearing costumes, handing out goodies to the neighborhood kids, dressing up my house and yard in a cool, spooky way. I can’t think of anything about Samhain NOT to like!

Samhain brings all worlds closer together. I treasure the opportunity to make deeper connections with the Underworld. I also love the fact that so many people in the everyday world put on costumes and act pagan for a day.

My favourite thing around Samhain has to be the change to the environment: nights and morning are cooler, mists roll in, there is a freshness to the air, and the winds clear the path for the winter to come, blowing away the remnants of the summer heat. Animals, including people, have made their homes cosier, preparing to snuggle in for the long winter nights.
Now comes the Cailleach bringing the storms of winter to take the old and frail, and in the process make way for the young. Storms, especially in the cooler months, always feel full of energy to me, not feeble, but strong, fearsome and alive – seemingly taking the breath from those that can no longer be sustained to energise those who remain giving them strength to see them through the leaner months.

I would most certainly love to be entered in this fabulous giveaway.
My favorite thing about Samhain? I have to narrow it down? Goodness…
It is the feeling of finality with the promise of something new and the trepidation that goes along with it, yet the amazing flow, oneness, the continuation that happens with all life that vibrates through the air of that day and night bringing a deep and satisfied feeling of belonging.
Thank you so much for your generosity and this great giveaway.
Brightest blessings,

My favorite thing is that so much is revealed in the darkness. The smells of candles, popcorn, warm cider, fires burning. Toasted pumpkin seeds, pies, and vanilla scented pine cones. Damp Earth, chilled wind, and the flirting salutations of Winter. The sounds of laughter, crinkling leaves, drums and dancing. Squeals of trick-or-treaters, my cat’s purring all is well with the world. Feeling of a lover’s hand in yours, warmth of a blanket, heat of the bonfire. The closeness of spirits, and the comforting love of the Goddess. Yes, so many things are revealed in the darkness on Samhain!

Samhain is my favorite time of year. I love all the decorations; the feel of the year; the ending of one year and beginning anew; I also love that it’s 8 days after my birthday, so I have always felt such a connection with the holiday.

Darnit, I forgot my comment. My favorite part of Samhain is when America shows how much she loves magic. People will go to great lengths to get decked out in witches hats and dresses. Believe me, I’ve been looking for a witch’s hats and not just any witch’s hat. I need the kind with the wide brim, so that I can drape fresh herbs around the brim. I want people to know I’m not joking around. People will dress up as mythological creatures and deities. People are into transformation on Hallows’ Eve, and some are into pushing the boundaries.

I love all the environmental markers of the season — the changing colors of the trees’ leaves, the slight chill at night, the scent of woodsmoke on the breeze, the lengthening nights.

I love Samhain because it truly feels like the new year. It is a time–more than any other, in my opinion to really assess and take stock. A time to prepare mentally and physically for the winter months.

Yikes, I hope I’m not too late! What an awesome thing you’re doing – for so many people!
My favorite thing about Samhain is that, on many levels, we’re able to see that endings come naturally in everything, but that doesn’t mean the change (or the end) is always a “bad” thing. We’re also able to look forward to season of coziness, then spring once again…Autumn is a time to slow down, reflect, catch up and prepare. When things die, the way is prepared for new and recharged life (or missions in our own lives).

Ah Samhain, it heralds in tolerable weather! There are so many things to love, the colors, the food. My favorite of all is gathering and honoring those who have passed before. I love to hear and share the heart felt, silly and tales of daring do of our ancestors.

How could anyone NOT love Samhain? I love watching the kids go trick or treating; the pumpkins; the change in the leaves. I also love it because we can honor those who went before us. The energy is so different and yet very alive.

My favorite part about Samhain is being closer to lost loved ones and feeling the coming changes. The crisp air and changing colors have always been a welcoming time for me, marking the slow down from hectic summer and before the maddening freeze of winter.
